I own a MK1 Leon FR 2006, it's done 90000 miles and is great fun but would like a bit more poke from it. I don't want to go mental and a friend mentioned a remap would give a bit more torque. Does anyone have some recommendations on do's and dont's?

Many Thanks

Andy

Go with someone reputable rather than cheapest... as long as the engines well looked after it should be fine. Clutches can be an issue on diesels but a good mapper with adjust the torque to suit your car/driving style.

Recommend any manufacturers, I've looked at revo. Does it make a noticeable difference?

a difference??? diesels especially respond well to a re-map and the torque is increased by a fair amount. its not just the overall bhp and torque that improves its the whole driving experience how the power delivery is dealt with. its usually really smooth and a nice surge of power. as mentioned above a re-map is adjustable to driving condition. aggressive for the hardcore white knuckle ride or a progressive type map which gives a much smoother power delivery but remains civil.

Thanks for that. The car handles great as it is and drives well but just wondering if I can get a little quicker especially round corners. I've seen audi s3 braces added to the suspension struts. Think that's what there called. Have u had the leaky door by any chance?

for cornering get a rear ARB fitted, it doesnt have one as standard so by adding a front strut brace or upgrading the front roll bar without the rear will increase the natural understeer tendency. Personally Id do the rear and get used to the handling then if you want the front stiffer try a brace.

Which area do you live in?

.... and everyones had the leaky door :D:rofl:... its a leon quirk:rolleyes: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=44216&highlight=carpets

I live in south devon. Ideal ill give that a go. On my leaky do someone tried to repair it with 2 tubes of silicone and failed miserably. There is a local garage that specialize in performance cars. They mainly do tvr's but might be worth a chat.
