you haven't driven it away have you?

id be saying sort yourselves out and ill have a car while you do it

yep took it away, at the time it looked like a minor scratch but the miss alignment is pissing me off now

the touch up paint they used did not even match

chips away could fix it for a few quid , but the shysters offered me £20 as they have no money left in the car.

take it back and tell them they are going to fix it and present it back in an acceptable condition with the bumper aligned as it should be.

also inform them they will cover the chips away bill in full and don't take no for an answer and you'll be wanting the fuel you used covering as well

id also drop there dealer principal an email informing them your less than impressed as well and also give SEAT UK a call to inform them what there dealer is unto

the cars near enough new and being sold under the used/approved banner so should be blemish free.

only way to deal with them is show as much contempt as they do to customers

yep i did complain at the time , but just had enough really with the train journey up there too
i paid the deposit with a credit card , so i can make a claim from them if need be if they don`t play ball .

initially i thought it was just a minor scratch but looking at the other side of the bumper , you can see it does not match up perfectly.

another reason why i try to pay as least as possible as most dealers treat their customers with contempt.

best way is to treat them with contempt like you rightly say, dealer principal is next step if sales don't play ball

look at the 2nd photo down, does it look like a shade of pink in there or is it just the light reflecting? did chips away do a decent job

bumper needs taking off and then the clips replacing that should sort it, just make sure you keep at them as i had one that had been bumped and filled with bodge.

took me 3-4 weeks to sort it out, don't let it drag on

it was a seat approved car, i took it to see about getting machine polished and the detailer found it was full of catty, could tell off paint gauge readings. there was also other issues so i rejected the car hence why my 184 was so good a deal

did you get sorted

Thank you for your email detailed below. I am surprised that you have found these issues with your new vehicle as I understand from xxxx that you gave the car a thorough inspection upon collection and both xxxx and myself checked the vehicles condition prior to you placing the order with us on Saturday.

The vehicle is obviously an Approved Used Vehicle but as I'm sure you can understand it is a used vehicle that has covered circa 7,500 miles and subsequently would have a small amount of wear and tear from being on the road for this amount of time. However, I am happy to look at your concerns and have covered them below:

With regards to the touch ups I am more than happy for you to return the vehicle to us for us to re-do them if you would prefer. Obviously we will not be looking to respray the vehicle just undertake to blow the paint in, in the affected area. I am not sure about the bumper not aligning correctly as I am surprised that this was not noticed yesterday or indeed myself or xxxx prior but again I am happy to have it looked at to see if it can be improved.

With regards to the depression dent on the bumper this is not something that we can probably undertake to repair - purely because as I understand the bumper is plastic and a de-dent guy cannot pull the dent out so it would need to be filled and sprayed completely and this is not something we would undertake to do on a 63 plate vehicle. xxxx did call me in the car yesterday, whilst I was on the way to a meeting, and it was agreed that we would take £20 off the total invoice price in view of a slight dent on the vehicle - in the email below are you referring to the dent that was discussed with xxxx yesterday ?

I am away from the office as of lunch time today and returning Wednesday next week. I would suggest that possibly Friday 29th around lunchtime if possible as both myself and xxxx will be in and that would give us plenty of time to speak to someone to get a local repair guy in.

Whilst I am out of the office xxxx is available and I have copied him into this email so he can answer any of your questions/queries in my absense.

On a positive note I hope you enjoyed your drive home in your new SEAT Leon and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

sales manager is more eager to resolve this than sales by the looks of it .

what i don`t like is they try to make you feel you are getting one over them , in my eyes if you buy a used approved car it should have been checked and all issue`s resolved.

especially as you are getting 15k of my cash [:@] , what is a repair to them anyway peanuts !
after making a big song and dance about having no money in the car the sales chap admits 14k was the book price for the car at 8 months old but they did not have the heart to offer the previous owner that as they charged him 22k for it LOL , i felt like saying i know mate hence my offer to you so why all this hostility it`s business after all nothing personal.

the previous owner traded it in for a cupra after 8 months , must have more money than sense to bin that kind of money in such a short space of time.

2 words spring to mind about the sales manager........patronising ******

in my opinion a 63 reg used approved seat should be perfect or near perfect, that guys dreaming if he thinks paint off like that is acceptable same for bumper misaligned

i will give them the benefit of the doubt first if i get no luck will escalate it.

for such a small thing i don`t see what all the hassle is about really , a smart repair is £150 retail even less for them at trade.
what they are saying is the bloke they use just pulls out dents and does not fix paint work.

was yours a crash repair or something:confused:
