Loose door lock....

I've looked and searched and it seems a common problem to happen with the leon/golf/octavia etc that the brass clip behind the lock either warps or drops off.

Had the door stripped today but couldn't see or find the clip at all, can this be bought separate? Also can it be sorted without stripping the door again??

Edit... Can't post links yet but I'd you search on Google for "mk4 golf loose door lock" it brings a thread up show in what I meant

I've sorted it now, stripped the door, new lock/handle carrier and built it back up. After yesterday's practice run Id done it in about 45mins

Although did have to nip back outside about 730 as forgot to plug the led in lol
