Loss of boost

Hi all, I have just got my FR150Tdi and was loving it until I had this problem I am hoping someone can help me out with.

I was about 15 miles into my journey when the car lost boost pressure, no smoke or anything just a serious lack of any grunt.
About 50 miles later shortly after a 5 minute break the engine management light came on, unfortunately I was still another 50 miles from my destination. I carried on and apart from the lack of power I had no problems.
I am assuming 'safe mode' has kicked in but have no idea why, I can take it back to the dealer but if anyone can help me out with a quick fix that would be great.

It could be a number of things. Probably something silly like a hose popped off, but if youve just picked the car up Id be straight back to the dealer, with my angry eyes on.

Cheers pal, the only bother is the dealer is over 100 miles away, I go back on monday but I would have liked to have had a play with my new car over the weekend.

Well. I'd have a look and see if you can see anything. If theres nothing obvious then I'd leave it well alone for the dealers to sort out. Thats what you've paid your money for. But like a said, it could be a number of things, including the non obvious, so dont be suprised if nothing stands out as being wrong.

I checked under the bonnet this morning, couldn't see anything, then took it for a quick drive. The turbo is now working fine.
The e/m light was on for a while but that went off after half an hour or so, its back to running as it should be.

No idea why but I am going to keep an eye on it and if it behaves itself... happy days
