ok so picked up the toledo today and wow what a car. its a 1.9 tdi s on a t plate. when the turbo is on it moves like s**t. sometimes the turbo doesnt kick in at all though!! when it does its usually around 2500rpm and it will just pick up and go. i think it might be sticking turbo veins as i have read that no end of times on here. wanna get it sorted though cus its quite annoying[:@]. any ideas??

you and me both buddy.

i cleaned my egr valve out- absolutely minging. replaced a couple of broken hoses and problem still persists.

only option left is the turbo vanes

from reading how to's and they all say something different, its not an overly hard job. im gonna tackle it myself, but got some advice from pro who said buy the turbo oil feed pipe and the gaskets so you can put new on when you clean it out. the oil feed pipe gets very corroded and when you disconnect from turbo it can kink and thats you f@cked.

also when putting turbo on make sure fill wee pipe with oil, as its easy to forget it.
