Its only a few hours at a garage. Shouldnt cost you more than £500 max for a 2nd hand k03s and fitting.

Do check yours is broken before you do anything though. Should only have to disconnect the same pipes and maybe the dp to get the socket out, the oil and water lines can stay attached. You could do this in a couple of hours and have it all bolted back up again to see if it runs ok if there is no obvious damage.

Im hoping it wont cose that much! If it does it does....

If i can get hold of this cheap k03s and offer to help fit the turbo as i know the bloke pretty well it might bring the cost down.

And there was me thinking im getting a good cheap manifold!

Just thought id update this thread as the turbo come off today and as i thought it wasnt a socket that had fallen into the turbo at all.

It turned out to be a washer that had jammed in the turbine. Just a stroke of bad luck i guess as i wasnt even aware that i was a washer missing.

Heres the pic once stripped down, And i still cant get the washer out not that it really matters. Made a right mess of the blades!

So maybe the sarcastic comments might stop now :p

So its not even worse that you didnt even know you were missing the washer that mullered your turbo instead of knowing you lost a socket and carrying on anyway benny! :bleh:

I lost the socket trying to do the last nut up on the manifold, So there was no way it was all coming off again after it took so long getting to that point.

I wasn t missing a washer on the manifold though, 2 on each stud. It makes me wonder if it could of been a washer that i manged to dislodge from when the other garage fitted the k03s as i found a couple of 20mm washers when removed the old mani.

Not that im passing the buck or anything! :D

I wasnt convinced it was a socket eitheralothough it is the only thing i recall dropping. Everybody seemed to jump the gun when i mentioned a socket.

either way it furbed my turbo.
