loud whooshy dump valve

right, now that i have all the haters out of there shells ready to shoot me down, i dont want a loud dump valve but mine really is!

everywhere i look on here it says that the forge 007p is quiet unless with a cone filter and theres always a flutter sound. my car is running the 007p(yellow spring) with a badger tip and neuspeed cone filter and it is VERY loud even on low boost but no flutter. air intake is insanely loud too lol is this normal? just seems too loud if that makes sense

just tried fitting it in reverse too and the car seemed to run like a bag of sh1t and didnt feel like it was boosting smoothly.

Hi its probably noiser because of the larger intake pipe and imo you should not have flutter unless your dv stops working

I have a 007p type valve and a jetex cone, the dump valve is kinda loud as is the turbo noise now but no flutter noise, maybe the TIP is making a big difference?

Yeh maybe. Just everyWhere I read up on here before buying the car said they weren't loud at all and the whooshy sound was for jap cars etc.

The noise is amplified thru the pipe work

My mate has the forge split-r valve and it is so loud as his has a CAI, TIP and front mount, but his makes that stutter sound rather than a normal dump which actually sounds cool haha.. I tested that valve on my old golf which only had a k&n and you could barely hear it!

Isn't the splitter half and half though so it shoulm be noisy? Haven't notice any flutter on mine.
Anyone any idea why it wouldn't run right with the dv fitted in reverse like a lot of people run them?

Yea you can adjust it.. If I remember right his was 28 clicks in (not sure from which side) but the noise massively echoes down the intercooler pipe work.

If you don't want the noise get the standard airbox back on.

I had an open cone till yesterday and it was very loud on a stage 1 lcr, standard tip though. Just put my standard airbox back on with a pipercross panel filter and now shes quite and no noise from the 007p also reverse 007p is awful, angry birds springs to mind!!

No my filter lives down under the arch liner where it is nice and cold.
