and a bigger boot :) it's a ST, but I do hear what you are saying, things that should be there ain't! and it appears to be cost cutting in funny places

Yeah I don't really see the need for it. Latest cost-cutting exercise is removing the central rear headrest on the 2012 models. Now a £35 extra.

The worst IMO is the lack of ESP on UK models, other markets such as Spain get this as standard.

Sorry for the thread de-rail!

can i ask what you did with the ecu as on my cupra it attatches to a tray thats up there and gets in the way lol cheers chris

Likewise, anybody got an answer for this? ECU is RIGHT in the way and while I think it's possible to "dual mount" would like to know what others have done or tried :)

i did think of getting some sound deadining wrapping it round it and sandwiching it between the lower glove box and heater box so at least it wont rattle

thought about that, not too happy about the ECU just held in place by friction and the cable connector :thumbd:

i fitted mine yesterday and in the end i cable tied the screw holes in the ecu to some wiring running up the a pillar so theres no strain on the wiring and its far enough away from the heater box not to over heat :)

I'll have another look under there and see if I can work out just where you've hidden it!;)

The start of the guide says you need 1 speednut, but the pictures show two speednut locations, can you confirm if it's one or two that are needed.
thanks muchly.

Where do you order these? Is there a place online or the local stealers?

Got mine from David at SERE motors.
Offered it up today but there is something mounted underneath there already. Is this the ECU?

Have you cupra guys had to remove the screws for the ECU to fit the storage box in?

Just fitted one on my car and had the same problem, thought the module might have been something to do with the bluetooth?

Anyway fitted the glovebox using just the front screws and it seems reasonably secure, couldn't get it to slot with the module, didn't seem to be enough room for both.

I think because it is only a small storage space the weight shouldn't be a problem with it only being secured at the front. Time will tell if it rattles!

Thanks to everyone for the info on this mod

Got the bits for this and for the under seat storage from Pentraeth on Anglesey, very helpful there :D
