Lowered cupra & tow bar

need a bit of advice to
is it ok to put a tow bar on a lowered cupra would i have any probs towing a caravan

yes mate,
ive put one on my other halfs golf mk4 gti, hers is dropped 50mm and fine,
i only tow my go kart though.
just make sure you dont load the boot full. fill the back of the carravan to eaven it out.

according to the seat handbook i got with my car they advise against towing. i haven't read it in detail as towing isn't high on my list of priorities but i'd imagine it could put strain on the engine and maybe cause over heating issues.

you cant put a tow bar on an LCR but you can on the LC.

there is a tow weight guide in there.

I think the LCR isn't type approved for towing. You're fine with an LC though.

Don't think you should have a problem, if you use a riser plate on the tow bar hitch to raise the ball up, to where it should be on a non lowered car.

You should be able to get a riser plate from any decent trailer/ towbar shop.

I'm probably going to have the similar problems, been looking for a detachable towbar for my LC to tow my bike trailer, so far it's looking iffy & 'Expensive'
