ahhhhh you've removed the dreaded jacking point!
looks good lee
i take it you have the standard shocks still
does it feel stiffer?

Yeh it does defo feel stiffer,i still also have the standard shocks yes.

Yeh the jacking points are off and....staying off till i take it to SEAT to put back on!!! LOL!

whats the ride like both comfort wise and handling wise.

maybe some 18's would fill the arch better?

i'm still considering lowering mine with either eibach or H&R springs and i'm going to get my rims powder coated in january - still undecided on white or matt black.

Buy mine ready done if ya like? Im cosidering getting some RS4 wheels in gloss black 18's??

The ride felt a little stiffer but more or less the same,i havent had much chance to drive it yet although i will be tonight!

If you have the time, take the side skirts off, then put the jacking points back on.
Its easier and a lot less hassle doing it that way ;)

That's cos it's -35mm to the non-Cupra ride height. This means it's only actually 15 - 20mm lowered.

I had the H & R 35mm springs on my A3 last week and it didn't lower it even 1mm. On Saturday at an RR Day i parked next to another A3 that had the same springs on for 6 months and it was about an inch lower at the rear and 1/2 an inch at the front. He said his looked like mine when first fitted and took ages to settle.

Don't worry it'll drop, but not by the full 35mm.

really? oh great!!!

What a waste of time!

lol, sorry. If you wanted a 35mm drop you should have gone for 50mm springs. There was another A3 on 50mm H & R's but that was lower than i'd wanted so i'm glad i went for the ones i did.

The guy with the 35mm's looked just right, the car had really levelled out and the 17's filled the arches much better.

Did you just want the looks then? If you want better handling too, i can thoroughly recommend the Eibach Pro-Dampers.

If you wedge a large flat-head screwdriver between the skirt and the sill at the jacking point (underneath the car, so the blade of the screwdriver faces out toward you). This lifts the skirt enough for the clip of the cover to lock under the skirt.

we will see,i tried to put the less lower ones on cos of problems with ARBs but im just gutted!

Strange, i've got -30mm eibach springs on matched with eibach dampers on my Cupra, had them on for 3 weeks and the back end espeically is really squat. Ill take some more photos on my phone later. Very pleased with mine, much lower than i expected.
