I am interested in lowering my tdi leon mk1. I would like it low, but not crazy low, and want it to handle better.

But I don't want to spend much!

What setups are available and at what price? What about suspension setups off higher model leons?

Thanks

Andy

There are loads of options for you.

First and foremost do you want handling or ride comfort?

I had a Mini van before the leon, so ride comfort isn't top of the list. Having said that, I don't want to break my back again! I would like a firmer ride, but not back shattering!

300 quid upwards for good quality, koni. weitec etc

budget start from 130quid for the joms (which have had good reviews)

id look at either weitec ultra gt or koni strt... weitecs are 320quid ish and the konis 280quid ish

depends on your budget really?

will be at right height on either of these..the weitecs do 30 or 50mm drops. koni is around 35mm

wont get much better handling on either tbh... id go for the weitecs.

what car is it for... you say tdi, but which one

Theres no real way to cheap exceptional handling mate, its a costly process

id go arbs, s3 upper and lower brace and see how that feels, then uprate wishbone bushes to tt roadster versions.

i think youll like tat upgrade, then go for a good quality spring and shock setup after your used to it.
