Hi everyone,

Thinking of lowering my ibiza but dont know where to start. First of all, how much do you think it will put my insurance up by? I'm 19 and only got one years no claim bonus, so I'm guessing it wont be cheap... Also, what are a decent pair of lowering springs? Theres plenty on ebay but some look at bit too cheap for what the other costs. Finally, would it require a garage visit to fit them?

Thanks people!

Sorry forgot to add i have an 2006 fr tdi

tryed a search there is loads on lowering ul see in every post i request coilovers (you know it makes sense ;) )

My insurance didnt go up when i had my coilovers fitted.

They cost me £400, but Eibach springs will cost you £120ish, you can get cheaper but don't know about these...

JBS fitted my coilovers and set them up for just under £200 including allignment.

or 4hrs labour plus VAT

go with coilovers if you can afford. Who is your insurance company?

I mite be selling my H&R springs for my mk4 cupra, not to sure if the would go on urz but if you ask about they mite go.

my insurance is with elephant. im really confused what are coilovers? are they basically lowering springs? are they pretty easy to fit yourself?
by the way rashcupra, your car is ****ing gorgeous mate

They are replacement shocks/springs that are height adjustable, wind it down to lower, do quick google search for pic

why thank you ;)

yes coilovers are fully adjustable suspension you can adjust the ride height go as low as you want :D

just as easy to fit coilovers as springs and shocks i fitted mine in 3-4 hours but i had access to a ramp and ive got loads of tools and wheel alignment gear

EDIT: ad lav beat me too it :(
