Has anyone lowered there leon more than 30mm, im interested in goin about 45mm but ive been told 30mm sits fine. If anyone has pics of the car lowered between 30mm and 45mm please put them on the thread. cheers leonbeastmk1

Lower then 45/50mm and you may need a new front ARB as it may rub on the driveshaft, with 45mm though you should be ok. Make sure you do a matched springs and shocks kit though as a 45mm drop would be most likely too much on standard shocks.

lowered my 02 LC 50mm.... no probs with it at all .... speed bumps are hard work though lol ....

heres the thread with it lowered .... not really that good pics.... u can see from my avatar that its really low to the floor.... you dont see many slammed leons... most people go for 15-30mm .... its nice to have something different

I like the audi 17's on ur's smithygcupra, i have leon cupra starfish type alloys on my leon painted white, the pic of ur car at the back gives me a clear idea of how the arch's would sit. How do u find goin over speed bump? Do you have to go realli slow over them ?

thanx man... i like my wheels too... never seen em on a leon before so there sumthin different..... yeh i do have to go slow over speed bumps.... but going fast over em damages your suspension whether your car is slammed or not...... a plus side is that wen u go slow over bumps you get loatsa looks off ppl... i like having a nice low car!!!

Thats a fare point, i never thought of that lol. Ill be lookin into making up a metal bottom engine cover. Atleast i will kno that if it does scuff its only hitting the cover and not my sump lol. How is the grip and handling of the car since you lowered it smithygcupra?

it handles a billion times better .... grips like hell and corners fantastic..... does need a front strut brace IMO....but still handles very good though....
