Don't know about 19's, but here's mine on sportlines with 235/40/18's on 8 x 18 audi wheels, just get a bit of rubbing on the nsf on very hard cornering or on the road occasionally over a big bump/dip, happens about once a week, only nsf......

maybe you should lay off the pies then mate?

i've just dropped down to 225's on my 19s so hoping i shouldnt get any rubbing.

Lowering on 19's might indeed make you Crackers! ;)
Sure to experience issues going down that route, plus the old speedo will become inaccurate.

18's appears to be the best compromise, and does look the best. Then add some lowering Springs at least, or do it properly and add a nice coilover kit to complete to look. :)

Springs - Eibach Sportlines on 18's popular with members here.
Coilovers - Errm, not sure who's best at the moment, although I'm sure someone will clarify shortly!

I run 19's with a 8 width, 225 Eagle F1's and use Eibach pro-kit springs . No rubbing or any funny noises, looks far better than leons with 18's as the 18's still look lost. Traction is brilliant as a few Evos have fallen victim on various roundabouts and the ride quality is still very good to me (just watch potholes), I also think that there is alot more feel at the wheel.

I also take mines on the track so they get a pounding around Castle Combe and work brilliantly. 19's all the way especially on the road.

But as CupraKen said original 17's wrapped in R888 for the track is best and most cost effective. But for the road..... 19x8.
