lowering springs

how easy are these to change on my 2003 cupra.

i am looking to drop it 40mm

just wondered how easy this is to by yourself

depends how handy you are with a set of tools buddy, i found it easy but ive lowered about 10 cars before,

nevr lowered a car, but i aint bad what a set of tools mate, how long it take, whats urz lowered by

mine was 35 mm ish,

took me the day, easy way is to drop the fron subframe a bit on the nearside for the shock to come out,

you will need some spring clamps aswell, look on ebay, i got a set for a tenner,

took me 3hours..., dont need to drop the subframe either, undo the arb links to drop the strut housing a little...


very easy job.

what springs u using mate, seen plenty on ebay. dont know wat to go for
do u know the site that has tutorials on how to do all different mods

im using janspeed shocks and springs, very good for the cash.

get a haynes manual mate, best guide there is for this job.

tools youll need

1.spring compressors
2.good socket set and wrenches
3.variety of spanners.
4.white grease
5rubber mallett
6.allen keys
7. brute strength

no pics mate, look on ebay for janspeed mk4 golf suspension...

sits lower by 30mm ish, its perfect height on 18s also

if your running 17s then youll struggle to fill the arches no matter how low you go im afraid, the leons have huge arches
