MAF needed for MOT?

Hi, I have my MOT tommorow and wondered if I should reconnect my maf for the test?

my cars not running right at the moment so I'm using it without the maf at the moment (its runs better and stays out of limp mode like this) but i'm worried about my emissions test.

I have a BF system with 100 cell race cat if that makes a difference.

id say head over to vw or seat and get a new one.. £85 should have you sorted, minimises the risk of having a retest.. which would in the end cost you more money.

I'd say reconnect and give the maf a good clean with contact cleaner. And try that, if its still failing, then new maf.

From what i've heard, keeping the maf unplugged can damage the cat.

yeah dont drive it for too long with the MAF disconnected, the car will run a rich map which will damage your cat extremely quicker, idea being cat is replaceable, engine isnt easily
