MAF question for BT boys

On your ibiza's running BT have you simply replaced the whole MAF to S3 or just swapped the original MAF insert into the larger housing?

Jabba swapped my sensor out of my old 70mm unit and put it in the 80mm unit with no problems if it helps

same difference IIRC, but I think most used existing elements with new housings

So both the 225 element and the 156 element are identical?

Its just i used a 225 complete MAF as requested by Jim and now when i put my original MAF insert in it coms up with a MAF fault straight away. Maybe its knacked cause its been in its box in my boot for months.

Can you use the 225 element if needed? As my Ibiza element is a bit suspect now and I don't want to have to buy two units and mix and match.
