Remove the MAF from the housing, and use solvent cleaner, isopropyl or carb cleaner wynns from halfords, give it a good spray from all angles, allow to dry, reconnect and voila!
You could check your N75 load on vag-com, use 115 i think it is
all of the vaccum hoses, intercooler hoses, there is one in the passenger wheel arch liner.
Theres loads of little hoses in the top, the main ones are the ones that come from the top of the dump valve, do you hear any chatter/fluttering when the valve goes off?
Check the pipes which connect to the underneath of the Inlet manifold also, i had a kink in one of mine.
And finally, check the vaccum resovoir on the top of the engine, the connections and all the wiring on the sensors.
I've replaced the two hoses from the inlet manifold, i just looked with a torch and i couldn't see any damaged hoses at all, it is getting dark outside however.
yeah, youve got to remember, the way the standard car is mapped, they pull equally to the redline, mapped k03's usually tail off quickley, especially stg1 revo if not set up correctly. stage 2 is much better, or a progressive map.
Check whch n75 you have also, if the part number ends in a C, put an F on as the revo map is made for the F valve. holds boost longer
Ive seen many torque graphs from different cars, ive seen hude spikes which drop to about 60% of the power between 3-4krpm, mine doesnt have the huge kick, but pulls proigressivly and my graph is higher up top end, so the graph cross each other, depends on your driving style. I quite like the way a standard cupra feels
Being honest i would prefer something that pulled to redline, however the kick in the back REVO gives is great.
I like my cars to rev, infact i'm still getting used to where i shift, etc in the ibiza.
How much am i likely to pay for a replacement N75, can they be found on other cars? Do you reckon if i go and fill my pockets at my local wreckers i'll get a good one?
I go on holiday in a couple of weeks, then i have my insurance to pay at the end of June so i need to spend as little as possible thats all
