Hey guys long time no speak on here,

any how on my 3rd cupra

Having a few MAF Issues, as did the previous owner

For you guys with big turbo's what MAF are you running, as mine has a 3" housing with an ibiza internal as the MAF..

is this the correct route?

yes run a S3/LCR maf housing with a standard ibiza element.

or you can run a S4 housing and maf but it means changing the turbo intake to 4 inch i think ?

custom code on it, its my old car with gt30

3 inch maf
LCR Pump
550 injectors @ 3 bar

:)

ah ok, alot of hassle, was just thinking its might be a stronger element,

might be worth me trying an airbox on there? I've seen your old thread I dont want to be spending 200quid a month on mafs lol

How safe is it to run unplugged?

i run it with maf unplugged for a good while, the air fuel was ok.

it may be a fu**ed maf as i had three from euro or gsf and they were all broke!

change the jetex air filter for a new one mate, its been on there ages, plus i bought it off a mate so its had good use and looks dirty.

so - change air filter for new one and then change maf that will cure all problems, as old filter is killing mafs as its dirty

where can I order a filter, I need a 3" right?

Im bit wary of running without maf, incase its doing damage

80mm Jetex are rated >350bhp
none in stock currently tho :(

if maf's running flat out on its max sensor output that could be why they are blowing..
do you know what g/s is being read by it?

larger tube required to slow the output down, but that will effect the mapping.

it was all set up by monster motosport bill, i did ask them about a S4 air flow meter but they said the LCR housing with ibiza elelment was fine, car run fine just needs a new air filter as its stinking, dragging in dust onto the maf causing it to die.

also its a 80mm jetex rated 350+ on it now
