Hi All,

I am in quite a lucky position compared with some that I have 3 Seat main dealers in my area. 1 is 6 miles away, another 10 miles and the other 19 miles. I tend to use the one furthest away as they give the best service (and I fell out with the closest one). Anyway, I phoned all 3 today for a price for a service on my wifes Ibiza 1.4s. It's just under 4 years old and has covered 22,000 miles. 1st quote from my prefered choice was £218, thought this was expensive so phoned the other 2. Next quote came in at £255 and the final 1 was £287! I have gone with my usual choice (obviously), but I am now a bit concerned at how much I am going to get robbed for when I take my Altea. 2.0TDI Sport. Anyone got any prices as a guide, as it is due it's 3 year service in september.

What really got me confused was the difference in prices, particularly £255 & £287 as this is from the same franchise at 2 separate locations.

Had my 10k service done yesterday by JP Board in Bridgend. Faultless independent specialist. Only cost circa £100.

Stealers charges.

Don't know the mileage of yours but paid 108quid for a 30k - lube service
last thursday at Spur in Hampton for my 2.0TDi sport, the 40k service will
be 270quid all in + poss brake service as i have been told, the cheeky
buggers charged me 1.97 + vat for screen wash even though it was
already full, complained so got a complimentary one !!

Keep complaining,
Cherry.
