Maintenance manuals???

As there is no Haynes publication for the Mk3 Ibiza. I've been looking into other maintenance manuals and have come across the term Elsawin.

Can anyone tell me what it is and what it does?

I've never heard of it before.

How big is the manual Matt. I've read about some issues where it can only be used on the PC that it was downloaded on or something?

sorry - couldn't resist. I haven't dug it out yet, but it might be on DVD so more than 700Mb.

Well i was given them too bring home by a manager as we are getting rid of the Seat side of the dealership and dont need them.

And also i finish work for that dealer on the 5th.

And as for distributing it your talking crap as i havent.

I post up bits of the program to help people with problems.

Its amusing that when helping people out you get accused of all sorts.

Helping is all good and well, as long as this site isn't seen to condone the use or distribution of unlicenced therefore illegal software. What you do in private is your own business, i really couldn't care less.

But when im asked by a solicitor why i allowed it on this site, can i give you a call to take the heat?

...also i haven't actually stated that i want a knocked off copy of sorts. I have no problem paying for a legal distributed copy of the software, if someone can point me towards one.

I just want something to refer to as Haynes don't make a manual for the Mk3

That's the thing though. There's no such thing as the software's only available to Seat Dealers...

and you wouldn't just install software from a theif? could have any form of malware or spyware on it.....
