As i stated, what you do under your own roof, is your choice and I'm not lording it over you, by saying what you can and can't do. But by posting it in here on a public forum, of which we are responsible 'legally' you then make it my problem. :)

Fully understand that Mark and respect that. I'm always careful about what i'm saying and haven't so far (on this thread) said that i'm after a illegal software copy.

Hope this clears things up :)

and I'm sure EVERYONE on here runs all legitimate software, be it ETKA, ELSA etc etc etc

corse we do.

I was given the software from a manager at work, like i said the seat part of the dealership is gone now ( well just about).

So where do i stand when posting pics from Elsa as i have done in the clutch pedal guide which was made sticky?

I dont wanna get in trouble or get aanyone else in trouble just wanna help where i can.

you should be fine as long as you clearly state where the pictures have come from I think. That's how it worked when i used stuff at uni, but it's obviously admins decision.

ElsaWin is copyright Volkswagen AG and for internal use only, as far as I recall. That means there are no legitimate copies outside of VAG dealer premises and the pictures and data from ElsaWin shouldn't be copied or passed on. That's the legal position as far as I know.

For a manual, the best you can do is get the appropriate Polo manual - I'm not sure which one is right for the Ibiza 3, though.

Well if i am gonna be prosecuted then iam removing the posts i have put up.

Shame really when your trying to help people.

Nevermind.

But what really happened was that you went to the dealer and asked about a problem, he then printed it off and showed you it and said that you could keep a hold of the pictures. You then scanned them in and allowed others to freely access the information that was given freely to you.

I'm sure thats what really happened :p

JAmes.
