So today i handed in the car so the people at seat could fix my creaking B pillar but i dident work. they changed the b pillar body panel but it might even have made it worse.

So im gonna attempt to solve the problem myself, ive googled a bit but i only find the manuals on how to remove the MK2 b pillar.

The car in question is a leon xperience 2017, the creaking is on the left side b pillar and it sounds like its behind the interior trim.

So are there any good videos or workshop manuals on how to remove it. And ive read that a few people have had this problem before me, so if anyone knows the exact cause that would also be appreciate.

I live in sweden and the tempreture has been about 13 degrees the last days so i dont think its the temperature is the cause. As suggested in the other thread about this. https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/threads/creaking-noise-coming-from-b-pillar.465523/

Have anyone found a solution to this problem? I'm in the same situation and still nothing, I had the car checked by SEAT and by another bodyshop and the noise is still there. Now it has significatly reduced along with the outside temperatures but it's still there and I know it'll come back louder come april/may.

So at the end it was the black gloss trim on the outside (rear door); it's made of cheap plastic and it needed a little fix. Take a tissue paper, fold it as many times as you can and stuff it between the b pillar and the black gloss trim of the rear door. Now go for a drive. If the noise stops, the problem is (for you, as it was for me) inside the black gloss trim.

I have a squeak from the b pillar on my leon sc 3door. I will check the gloss black trim also. So its hard to see the photo, have you put tissue behind the door and closed it ?. Do you have a better picture and have you found a permenant solution/fix. Thanks

Yeah, the tissue's behind the door - between the door and the exterior of the b pillar. Problem is that the noise came back a few weeks after the fix (I had the gloss black trim replaced) so I'm still driving with the damn tissue there, which is the only thing that permanently stops the noise, and I guess I'll go back to the body shop to try and fix it again (by replacing the gloss black trim one more time? I don't know).
