Right, checked the pipework for leaks, no luck, everything is tight and secure as it should, used soapy water and no bubbles anywhere. So I'm considering whether it's the MAP sensor? The MAF went a couple weeks back so maybe the MAP has had it's day too? No fault codes on the ECU.

rare for a map sensor to go dan... is it fully flush to the housing on the toyosprts sensor pipe?

also check the o ring in the sensor, could have split causing it to leak slightly.

remind me of your running issues again mate?

Only boosts to about 10 psi mate full throttle, no recirc sound or anything when I let off, feels like it's holding back and when it reaches 10psi it drops back to about 5 :(

I'll check the sensor and the ring tomorrow

Mate maybe nothing to do with your problem but have you checked your DV,serviced it lately?mine was running crap the other weekend,no boost as such and it wasn't until I realised I couldn't hear the DV that I checked it,after a service was as good as new again, just a thought...

Looks like you might actually be right mate I fitted the old Bosch DV and it ran better but still dropped off boost when I floored it so I suppose that's due to a weak spring.

A mate has said it's possible to block the DV mount off?

Would a dual piston DV work?

I've heard that a dual piston can work on the vag engine, i'm sure stef cupra has a hks ssqv on his with no running problems

Do you have the forge DV mate? if so give forge a ring and ask nicely they may send you a service kit out, otherwise they don't cost a great deal mate, just new O rings, grease, and internal bit.

Yeah I've got Awesome bookmarked mate they've got those DV's cheap on ebay too atm thanks

Forge TIP mate. Just seems strange as with the OEM DV it only boosted as high as the uprated one but didn't drop back as far under throttle.
