In my 2004 Corsa and on my 2002 Toledo the floor had little pegs and the floormats had little holes for them to click into - very smart thinking whoever came up with that idea :)

However in the Ibiza I have the standard mats, which fit in place fine and have the position holes on them but the floor has not got the pegs - is this right? Is it a Mk4 thing, or a 2003 Model thing or what?

I don't imagine they could have been removed as the floor looks OK and unmarked, doubt they'll be added with ease either :(

What about everyone else? Do you have these? What year/trim?

i have them because i asked for them when i bought the set of mats, they arnt included in the set for some bizar reason

In June last year the genuine SEAT mats that the dealer gave me when I bought my car new had 4 locating pegs in the package.

The front mats each had 2 round plastic fittings with holes in the middle already fitted.
The pegs screwed into the existing carpet in the car and the round fittings pushed onto the pegs.
Problem is when you pull the mats up for cleaning the round bits fall apart or the pegs pull out of the carpet.

I've used good old Velcro to hold the mats in place. Works for me! :)

The mats at the bottom of this link show the kind of thing I mean. Not exactly the mats I have, mine have red edges but you get the idea.

Yep, my pegs didn't come out, but the clips in the mats used to fall apart every single time I took the mats out for cleaning! [:@]

Seems weird I don't have the bloody pegs, maybe they have came off or something.

Will get some velcro and stick that on :)

the screw in pegs f**k up the carpet when they get ripped out, wich WILL happen

so I just use some thick cable ties and tie the mats to the seat frame
