Me17.5 ECU

Hoping someone can tell me.

I'm looking at buying a 2nd ECU for my TFSi, which I plan to keep a hold and get remapped.

But I know the system is alot more advanced than the earlier me7.5 on the 1.8t.

If I get this ECU, and get the IMMO set off.
This ECU would be suitable for accepting the remapped file for my TFSi and would still work as a Plug and Play ECU ... With all other features working? Instrument etc.

Just no immobilizer.

Is my thinking correct and would this be something I could do?

Don't know the answer about the 2nd ECU But these days a lot of tuning companies install multiple maps on the ECU and you just use a OBD2 Port to enable the one you want, save the issue of having to swap ECU.
