you'll somehow have to work out how to get the air back over to the other side since this is single pass (and designed for a diesel flowing a lot less air perhaps?)

when you think about it, mercedes can put a lot more development money into an i/c than what forge or pace can! no disrespect to either of course.

fabia wiper was designed for the fabia estate, its now on the back of a lot of leons on here, nothing is impossible and once one persons done it, the knowledge spreads. I bought forge for ease of fitting and didnt want to shop around for pipes.

IC is based on volume of air it holds and can cool (by passing air through its fins), thus lowering the temp of the charge air.

However the bigger the intercooler the bigger the lag you will get unless you free up the rest of the system.

As intercoolers are simply intercoolers - sticking it on will help the charge cool yes - but this has to be mapped against air in and air being used.

So induction kit and boost has to be balanced against the size of intercooler you have. Simply sticking a massive one on will mean more lag but little more boost - to get best effect talk to a tuner, free up the air and make sure you have boost control (either through map or controller)....which you do - so best solution is to fit then re-map to suit your new shiny item :)

No problems I didnt know if anyone had actually explained the theory...[B)]

Awesome will keep you right though as there will be a size point beyond which you simply dont get any gains, just more mass of air being pushed around as your turbo will only be able to flow a definable maximum volume

Pipe work in and out makes a big difference too - too many twists and turns isn't good and some aftermarket jobbies have poor routing over heat sources...thus working as a "interwarmer" "cough scoobs cough":p

Let us know how you get on :)
