Mine is getting a new rear windscreen

Shattered for no apparent reason while driving home on Thursday night. Probably just a coincidence, but in 19 years of driving I've only had to replace 2 rear screens, and the last was on my previous mk4 ibiza, again seemingly for no apparent reason

Yes, I've assumed that it must be something to do with differential between heating element temperature and that of the glass/ outside ambient. Autowindscreens couldn't replace it today, instead giving the excuse of non availability of the glass.

When pressed, she revealed that it is more to do with the local depot still being closed for Christmas. Good job I didn't need the car really. Worse still, she then added that they wouldn't even order the glass until opening at 0830 tomorrow, so it might be Wednesday before it's replaced.

Hopefully be getting the wheel bolts I need so I can finally get my rear spacers on ASAP, and I'll wash it at some point before new years!

Not really xmas related, but it'll also be getting some grooved front discs and ferodo ds2500's in very early Jan as my brakes are shot - plus the MOT in a few weeks!
