Hey guys,
Dealing with a sharp, metallic clicking from the rear right C-pillar area.
It only appears in the summer heat and completely disappears in the winter.
I checked absolutely everything in the back but nothing worked.
Then because the noise is right near where the ball stud of the trunk strut attaches to the body, I tried removing the trunk gas struts entirely.
The noise completely went away.
I thought it was just a bad right strut, so I swapped it with the left one, but the noise remained on the right side.
Then I changed both struts for brand new ones, and the noise still remained at the right side.
Did anyone deal with something similar ?
