might be a daft question but i have a 1.2 12v seat ibiza is there anything i can do to improve the performance? aart from driving it of a cliff?

not really matey

there are a fer little bits like an exhaust and induction kit

a remap is possible but not really worth the money for the small amount of gains you would get

there is 1 1.2 on here i belive that has done all this, if i can find it ill get bk to you

thanks if you would because i feel abit ashamed that off the line a 1.2 corsa 06 plate can beat me :/ should be even shouldnt it?

And you are assuming it IS a 1.2 corsa - I know two guys who are running 1.4 corsas with 1.2 badges on them !!

i think it was a 1.2 eco tech thingy not to sure! would performance spark plugs? air induction kit etc help? or just be a waste?

it deffiantly is a 1.2 corsa with a standard engine because they are part of the same club and i talk to them all the time :/

K&N Panel Filter - (33-2850 is the model number I think) - I found this gave me a little more in the low low revs and gives it a little growl at 2000rpm +. Thats about it really, you can opt to get a custom exhaust made, what ever you do you aren't going to gain anymore than a 10BHp at the very very most - that includes getting a re-map (£200), a custom exhaust (£400 ?), Induction kit (£40).. meaning you could easy spend £600 - £700 and gain very very little.

Someone that I know costantly complained of his 1.2 and it's lack of power went and bought FR 130 Tdi and wrote it off after 7 - 8 weeks after getting it as in my opinion didn't know how to handle the massive difference in power...

Having driven 2 different versions of the 1.4 Ibiza I reckon the 1.2 maybe has a slight margin over it as all 3 versions of the 1.4 are quick sluggish lumps... this is just my opinion...

This one - "Mixupz" not sure if he is still around here... don't think he is as his Photobucket account is "in-active" ...

My old 1 litre Polo used to put my mates 1.2 Corsa B to shame!

Try picking more carefully, eg old lady in electric scooter, or buses.

usually the money you put in results in tiny gains.
just make it look nice and drive it!

best advice you get on here with 1.2 and 1.4 is save up for a fr or a cupra anyway
which is good advice id say :p

Is the K&N Panel filter just a straight swap? Just been reading somewhere about excess oil on it or something, gonna order one otherwise

Yes the pannel filters are a straight swap.

The OIL issue is twofold.
1. people oiling the wrong side of the filter - you should only oil the underside (as fitted in the car) of the filter so that the dirt sticks to it.

2. People over oil the filter , install it and drive off with the oil still wet. This oil then gets on to the MAF and screws it up.
