I never been able to understand why putting a high octane fuel in a car designed around standard octane would make any difference.
A high octane rating just means the fuel can cope with a higher engine compression ratio without fuel pre-igniting under high compression temps. And without an extreme engine re-build and design, you cant alter the compression ratio.
