So apart form the not having the adaptor, how hard was it/will it be to fit? Would a novice be able to do it? Im guessing you have to cut the original exhaust off? Would the cat back make any noticble power gains? Wouldnt of thought so but my Milltek Cat Back on my FiestaZS made a little bit.

Just had mine fitted by awesome yesterday because i couldn't be bothered doing it myself, needed a service regardless.

took them about 30mins to replace it with the catback, it feels a little more responsive to be honest.

The standard system is dropped off the hangers and the join where the back box and the mid-section slide into each other just needs to be twisted to break the seal and then it slides off.

When I have used reducers in the past I have always used some exhaust adhesive to make sure there tight, when fitting the new system. The new one slides into place and then you hang it back up.

The joins may not look 100% tight but metal expands and retracts with heat so when it gets hot it seals itself.

I know when I had a miltek cat back on my fiesta (same tail pipe as the one used on this) It was pretty quiet to start with but It did get louder and more throaty as the miles clocked on to do with the metal expanding.

If I ordered the Milltek cat-back, would I be able to take it just to my local car maintenance garage to get it fitted? Be honest with me ... is it worth forking out nearly £550 or would I be better looking at other options?

I noticed on Awesome GTI website, they have a Scorpion 'Red Power' system for sale ... any reviews or comments about it?

What about the Miltek system? What is the overall opinion / view on it? Worth the money or not?

I like the look of the Miltek, but would also want a more 'raspy' sound ... I would have thought by now that more manufacturers would have developed an 'off the shelf' system for the 1.4 tsi :(

Wonder if there is any milleage going down the custom route? My fear would be that you end up with a half-botched out system.
