Mirror back removal

Hi, can anyone tell me how the get the mirror backs off my Leon? Must be simple but I can't manage it Cheers!

You need to softly pinch the plastic cap in your hand, to allow to cap to provide a gap big enough to slide into this gap an old plastic bank card(or something similar). Once you have the card within the gap gently slide the card around the cap, this will release the catchs within and allow the cap to pop off!

i used a plastic kitchen spatula. squeeze it in on the bottom outside edge and work it round slowlt, it'll pop off

I have the same problem.Don't seem to want to budge even though I tried with a small screwdriver and an old credit card that was snapped in the process so thanks for the hint to pinch the cover first.This may provide the necessary gap I need.Will try that 2moz.
Doesn't seem to want to pop off easily though.Tried several times.Just deep scratched the cover a bit when using the screwdriver.

do the backs off all the mirrors pop of as im thinking about carbon wrapping mine?
