Missing engine cover

Hello there.
I took delivery of my Leon 1.9 TDI Sport 2 weeks ago and the engine cover is missing. I just spoke to the dealer and he told me they don't have them anymore due to cost cutting.
Has anyone else experienced this?

That is correct. When I bought mine it was an extra so I didn't bother.

Hi, Only Curpa and FR models come with covers.

This started sometime early 2007 onwards.

I have a cover on my FR as they say it comes with that model..

I'm sure there was talk of this on another thread, and it was mentioned that the engine cover comes with the FR petrol but not the FR diesel. Can anyone confirm? Thanks

Its on my FR TDI

The engine cover has to be present on the FSI or TFSI petrol as it houses the panel filter, different airbox on the TDI.

Engine cover present on my new FR TDI, so clearly they are putting them on both the TFSI and TDI.

Can someone post a piccy of the FR cover? Would it fit the 2.0 TDI from the ref sport?
