Hello all,

Wondering what your guys opinion was...

I recently fitted some lowering springs from a Bora. Looks horrible so I removed them as soon as a could and ever since the car doesnt quite feel right. Bit twitchy front end.

Anyway thought it may be best to make the purchase of some coilovers as apposed to replacing the shocks for just the standard items.

I was just wondering at what stage of lowering will I have to purchase Adjustable drop links and Anti roll bars etc.

Thank you very much in advance.

Josh

Got the coilovers now. Just wondering what is the better purchase, arb or drop links??

Personally I would go for new droplinks on the front, and a new REAR antiroll bar. Front wheel drive cars are meant to respond more to rear anti roll, so stiffening up the front won't give you as much. It will improve things, but it's a fair bit of money that I would say is better used at the back.

It's not just the bar itself as well, the rear one is a lot cheaper/easier to fit. The front needs the subframe dropping, which again sounds to me like more work than it's worth when you're starting from nothing.

Im on KW 50/40 kit. Standard ARB is fine on the front. Put an H&R rear ARB on and made a big improvment. but the Front ARB clears fine. ive just bought a front ARB as im changing the KW's which are cack on the track and going to coilies so will need the front ARB to go a little lower than 50mm drop.

hope that kinda made sence / helped

its more of the room over the driveshaft and the hoop on the standard Arb. to go low - front arb mate. but will unbalance the handling without the rear too.

Thanks mate,

Im not looking for crazy low anyway so will do a bit of trial and error on coilies lol

you can but you'd have to fit lcr coilovers to it cause the arb for the 4motion and r32 mount onto the struts like lcr, the bora/golf and lc arb mounts to the wishbone via drop links

Recieved my Droplinks today. Anybody know which way they go round as in the threaded end at the top or bottom??

Cheers Guys
