Its so annoying how they are when you are trying to look for a used one!! Even the high mileage onees are going for close to 9k!
What do you call high mileage?
I was thinking about trading mine in before christmas (04/04 tdi cupra 111k) impeccable service history and very very clean car no damage got offered £5500 against a Clio 182 at £8250. Obviously I got up and walked off!

Well i really am looking to buy one, but want to avoid high mileage cars, but thats all i can afford for my ~8k budget, realistically ill have to settle for an FR. for 8.5k it will have minimum 60k i think. ive seen a cupra same as yours with 140k going for just under 8, its on ebay or autotrader now
in receipts 2k of which is from the 1st owner for routine servicing. My money has gone on cam tappets bearings clutch flywheel tyres exhaust routine servicing fan modification windscreen excess brake pads and discs and to be fair there is nothing to afraid of with high mileage if you can find a car and an owner like me who has spared no expense. Mine runs beautifully and Its being re mapped on Monday
Wheely, how long ago were you offered that price? £9500 is a great price, mine is the same as yours but with a extra 10k on the clock and when i looked at trading mine in against a Altea all i was offered was between £7 - 8k, that was from a independant trader.
I assumed that my local SEAT dealer would offer about the same but i'm a bit more hopeful now.
Less than one month ago mate. Against a 13K Leon Mark II.
It wasnt at my nearest Seat site, as that is Plymouth Seat and I'm not sure I've heard anyone ever say a good thing about them (myself included) - but this was at County Garage at Newton Abbot (about 25 miles from me). The sales manager Tom is ace and realistic about how he prices cars and what he pays for them. Even tells you up front what he'll be retailing yours for and holds true to his word.
Anyone in the South West should pay these guys a visit for a courteous, honest and fair deal.
