The nearside front windscreen washer on our Mk1 has given up the ghost yet the drivers side washer is jetting out water like a fire hose. With the MOT coming up, it'd be good to fix this before the garage charges an arm and a leg to do so. The nozzle itself looks clear and waggling a pin in it doesn't seem to make a difference. I though the feed line has come off but there doesn't look to be any pool of liquid forming when I look through the vents around the nozzle head. I'm guessing there's some crud in the line that blocking the feed to the nozzles.
Lifting the bonnet, I was expecting to be able to loosen the panel and get to the liquid line underneath, disconnect it and then try and clean any obstruction. Aside from the screws that allow you to access the A/C filter there doesn't appear to be a way to access the lines. Does any one know how you can get at them short of removing all the skin on the hands when trying to squeeze them between the plastic panel and the metal edge now the seal has been removed?
Thanks!
