Mk2 6k Ibiza - Porsche and Lows [Update 19/05/11]

bit of an update today! did my brother's 106 clutch so felt the ibiza deserved some loving
took the plunge and started work on the number plate recess! trimmed up and old number plate, bonded it on and fibgreglassed around it

1st skim of filler

a few more skims and a whooooole lotta sanding lol

it got to about 7pm and i'd spent a good 4hours doing it so before it got dark i slapped some primer on and some red paint to make it look abit more presentable till i continue work on it again next week

Its not quite there yet but its getting there

Not a fan of the smoothed bumper at all Gav.

New placement of plate isn't great, and the best place was where it left the factory IMHO.

Car looks good otherwise dude

sticker number plate for bonnet is a must

i've made some brackets that position the nuumber plate in the middle of the splitter (underneath) so i can unbolt it and take it off

bumper is also very close to be being finished!

If it was up to me, i'd drive without a front plate but i've had a £60 fine already for having it in my window!

some update pics! saw a ibiza sport in Milton Keynes the other night lol

going for the harlequin look

started to clean up the bay abit so i de-greased the under neath of the bonnet and finished the chequers also fitted the engine cover and painted rocker cover!

got it all strippped down and ready in primer for some paint

Id love to respray the whole of my car. But can only afford to do bits at a time. Still thinking of a smooth front bumper though.

I really like the look removing the side skirts creates! - I've been considering it on mine for a while now.

hey guys! had many coats of red and clear coat now, looking pretty goood have to wait for the clear to harden fully before i can start flattening it down and polishing it up!

im still not happy with the stance, rears will be gettin spaced out and rear dropped abit more lol

i know not everyone will like the smoothed bumper but i like the fact i can remove the front plate and have a clean looking front end at shows
