Mk2 Leon - Brake Dimensions

Looking to replace my discs soon so checking prices..

If i look at ebc ultimax discs (front) there appears to be 2 sets listed..

USR1200, Engine_Size: 2.0 TD (140), Front Discs, 2005-, Bolt-Holes: 5, Diameter: 280, Height: 50

and

USR1201, Engine_Size: 2.0 TD (140), Front Discs, 2005-, Bolt-Holes: 5, Diameter: 288, Height: 50

Why are there two sets for the same spec/year, I think the larger ones are also listed for the FR170

Apart from going and measuring them can anyone shed some light on this?

my friend with MK4 Golf changed OEM 280mm with ATE 288mm without any other changes...
