im liking the yellow alot still yet to see a yellow one in the flesh although saying that im not sure if i have seen another one in any colour yet
 
All I really need to go for stage 2 is the downpipe and a uprated fuel pump. But I know the clutch will go so.. going for a downpipe and a remap for the meantime. Ive been chatting to a few remappers here in NI, and they say they can keep the torque down, so hopefully have no slippage with stage 1+ lol.

So in the future ill probably get the fuel pump and some sort of clutch set up. But thats another thing. Id love to go for a uprated clutch only. But heard the DMF isnt good for the power. If I went for a SMF and a uprated clutch id want it to be silent. Which doesnt seem to be possible :-(

So I dont know lol

Hmm! Now your making me think. Ideally id rather have a clutch for piece of mind, but then again stage 2 would be nice :)

Stage 2 doesn't need to have a fuel pump although it would help.

Upgraded fuel pump will help with power ... you will generate upto 10BHP more with it.
But your quite right Kev ... not required till you hit stage 2+
 
Well, ive since had a ebay special downpipe and decat fitted. I wasnt paying the price for a Milltek one. This one fitted spot on. It didnt drastically change the sound on idle, but when on boost it sounds awesome. Turbo also spools a lot quicker with it. Quick video (before remap):-

Also got the car remapped yesterday. It made 299bhp/297lbft of torque standard. After a few tweaks and different remaps, it ended up with 355bhp and 334lbft.

Kept the torque down as I was worried about the clutch, so hopefully the clutch will last a few thousand miles, to give me a change to save for a clutch.

Love the car even more now! Pops and bangs quite loudly on gear changes and just pulls and pulls up to stupid mph :)

That makes sense then lol

It looked like it was gonna be a bugger to fit on the right hand side as it would be awkward to get to the nut.

Speaking of nut, it looks the nuts mate, 1st refusal in the sad event you ever revert back to standard ;)
 
Yeah, with the itg being held on with that nut. It was basically impossible to get at.

I done this:

Means I can tighten it up a good bit to the ITG bracket, slide this in, then just have to turn it once to hold the cover on lol.
 
A couple of quick questions:-

  • Any trouble or errors with the LED DRL or sidelights?
  • The link to the sidelights is now broken, do you have the part number for those?

Those yellow lights just wont do................
