Once car is back from bodyshop and paid tax and insurance in march will press on with the mods again.

probably do diff, clutch and flywheel all at once, so probably april may time, just as the pod/track/show season really begins to restart.

Really need to here about some real life comparisons between the wave trac and quaiffe.

Think you need to come to London Al, and we get yours and dans side by side :D

I think dans quaiffe made a differnce in how it layed down the power pretty much drama free compared to mine

mike how many horses are you running on if you don't mind me asking? I'll be booking my car for the diff next jan right after stage2+

He will be able to give an accurate number on that by about this time tomorrow after his car has been on the r/r at Awesome :).

Probably somewhere in the region of 340bhp I would imagine and over 300ft-lb of torque.

Picked my car up Saturday afternoon with the engine mounts and Quaife fitted.

I now have a REALLY big smile as it has made the car into a complete monster of a car[B)]

Diff ordered and set to arrive any time now at the specialist to have it installed in my new box, and have the box checked/serviced :)

Thinking about a new OEM clutch based on the fact I have had no drama with the one in my car, and with it being 1/4 the price of an uprated jobby. Even if I needed 2 clutches, would still be cheaper than going uprated, unless of course I can get a deal when in Texas in January ;)

Hurdy are you still running the standard clutches in your DSG? How are they coping with all that power? did you get them checked when the diff was put in?

Yes, I am still running OEM clutches. They do look dainty, but are doing the job very well. It helps having the REVO stage 2 DSG map as this increases the pressure of the oil acting on the plates to uprate the clutchpack holding capability to 500nm. He showed me the clutches when they were out and they basically still looked brand new - no wear apparent at all[B)]

I do understand that some people do have issues with their DSG boxes, but these are mainly mechatronic related, rather than the clutches themselves.

US cars have run big turbos and 4WD through the box with no issues and so the mechanical side of the box is very strong.

You will get the odd failure, but I'd like to bet that a higher percentage of people have to uprate/replace their clutches on a manual than on a DSG after going for a remap:whistle:
