MK2'ers in Leeds anyone?

Well I think this is my first post here realy, cool forum by the way!

well I've had my 1.4 seat ibiza S now since November, not to bad for a first car realy.
Still to give distance to a corsa !

but the one thing I keep noticing now and again I'll be driving around the Leeds area of the UK and they'l be another Ibiza MK2 Owner that will wave at me, at first I found this to pretty strange but it keeps happening!
I've been in Crossgates, At Xscape and on the way to it on the road from garforth.

so I sopose, was it you waving at me ?

While I'm at it I wounder if some one could answer a few questions for me, being 17 year old I don't know much about mechanical side of car maintaince and stuff.

My MK2 has a Airfilter(not sure if this is a induction kit or what?), of the cone sort.If this begins to rust is it a problem?
and would this make my car any louder? it sounds like it's got a custom exaust on it, but there isnt!
the air filter connection goes to a what I would call a T juction where one end goes to the engine, and the other is like a stump that comes out, connected to nothing and isn't sealed or anything.Should it be like that?

hi mate im in and out of garforth and cross gates quite a lot! i have a kiwi green gti 16v but havent seen another about.. every1 else seems to see them apart from me lol

hi, that cone filter has been put on there and looks like its been bodged. it should have a longer piece of pipe with a hole at the end for air to go up and the other pipe thats been blocked off should have a piece of pipe going to the top of the exhaust manifold.

also, there are no sensors in it. just a plastic valve type thingy to regulate the air flow.

I was mistaken, in the first pic,
somthing actualy is blocking the hole, but it just feels like scrunched up tape thats been used on the damn pipe.

I've had the car since November now and I've had no problems except my pedal box, is it somthing that needs sorting out?
It kinda make it sound abit more meaty

The hose that comes from the exhaust manifold is really just to help with cold starting etc in winter. You can take that whole bit off and have no problems.

Last summer I had a cold air feed going straight into the airbox and had no problems.

Nice, Don't sopose you go that from that place in Kippax?

Mines pretty much stock, Green Ibiza 1.4 S (which I think is the high end 1.4?)
with some Black alloys with a red ring around them, ill post pictures as soon as I can.

any suggestions on how I can make the interior more SPRUCEY?
I'd like somthing to do that doesn't cost more money than my car does and is pretty simple to do, somthing to get me going.

Nooo I got it from Cardiff

And u want to spruce it up give u car a nice wash vac make it all clean depends what u like and how confident u are u could go halfords and colour codebur centre console u could go for the stripped out look like mine buy not practical for lifts tbh that's free
