is the mk3 'biza based on the same chassis as the mk2? i'm looking for some better driveshafts for the van and am not sure if the best bet would be some from a mk2 cupra 16v?

no thats an inca IIRC with a 'biza front end......

here's the good side of mine.....(other side is in primer)

:) cheers.......she surprises a few people:whistle:

getting rid of those wheels as i have some other 16's which are more practical and easier to look after. i'm also after some 17's to see if the extra rolling diamter will help with traction - she spins in 3rd in the dry and 5th in the wet! useless.

anyways back on topic:p

CAN I USE MK3 CUPRA DRIVESHAFTS in a 6k chassis?

Hi Jimmy,

recognise the van from the E38 forum,

The Mk2 and Mk3 Biza's are virtually identical under the skin, both using effectively the front subframe from a mk2/3 Golf, but there should be no reason at all why the cupra driveshafts won't fit providing you are using a 02A or 02J gearbox from memory, i'm sure if i'm wrong someone will correct me

Yes

what engine / gearbox / hubs are you using now?

AUQ engine, A3 1.8t 'box (which i wanna change for something slightly longer legged) std hubs as they take the G60 carriers and not sure what shafts but have 100mm flanges on them.

hmmmmm dont suppose anyone has a pic of a 'biza mk3 1.8t bay?

thank you sir, now i know where i'm headed :)

bit more of a long shot but is there anyone in or near bristol that has one that i could have nose thru, look at how its mounted and make note of parts and clearances (esp. the block to the servo - very tight in the 6k 'bay and the dimensions of the rad in the mk3)?
