Cupra

Auto Motor und Sport claims that Leon Cupra ST débuts at Geneva 2014 approx 260 hp?! It's a little bit confusing. Are there two versions of the engine or not...

£27k?!

Did they lose all their sales statistics from the Mk2 Cupra R to show how many sold at anywhere near list price?

Even if it comes with lots of standard options I can't help but think it'll be a tough sell in todays market

The R surely wouldn't be going on sale that early? and if that article is the Cupra, then £27k!!!! I'd shudder to think what the R price tag will be £30k+

Don't think they have a clue actually, just looks like a standard blurb trying to fool the public that they know something other mags don't.

True, the general person who would pick up the mag or read the article probably wouldn't be following the car as closely as people on a forum like this, so they'd possibly buy into it without seeing the inconsistency in the write up.

Was interested to see this, not for near 30k though, much more cars come into play at that price range.

Yeah I'm out at that price, too close to the Golf R, Audi S3 and BMW M135i. This needs to be knocking around the £25k mark to make any sense.

Found this: xxxx:::cars.uk.msn.com/news/seat-leon-cupra-2014-first-details-and-specs
claims official launch date is 8th January 2014.

If that's close to accurate then based on what they did with the pricing of the Mk2 LCR surely we'd be looking at £30k for the R, which is too much imo.
