MK3 Leon Mobile Phone App

I see there's a Seat app for the iPhone, but it isn't compatible with MK3 Leons pre 2020. It says "Compatibility will be improved. You can find other options compatible with your vehicle in the App Store", however I can't find an app that's compatible with my 2019 Leon. Does anyone know if there is one? Seems odd for them to say there is one in the App Store if there actually isn't.

And this also begs the question as to why you can connect the car to your WiFi network - I did this hoping that it allow OTA updates, but nothing I can see…

My MIB2 High 2016MY also has WiFi, but i've never found a use for it, also, if I remember correctly, when I had my phone connected to it I had problems.

Shortly after I bought my Leon new in December 2015 there was an app from Seat which I installed on my Android phone, I think it had details of my car on it with some functions but I think it was abandoned by Seat.

That’s a very good point, after regular connection problems with my Octavia’s MIB2 and Arteon’s MIB2.5, I only connect my iPhone to the Leon via hardwire Apple CarPlay.

Never even used BlueTooth and it’s much more robust.
