Mk3 New pads and discs - brands etc

Been told I have 3mm left on front and back of 1k miles so wanting to know best brands etc for pads and discs?

Few forums say Brembo or EBC Yellowstuff.

Any additional advice be great (pricing)

Rate em? Is there much difference for every day driving? I never go on a track. I do about 6-8k miles a year max.

price is a factor obvs - I don’t mind paying but brembo set is about 600

Good stopping power. I haven’t used em on track. The Bluestuff I won in a giveaway from EBC, and the discs I bought later. I think I’d get the Yellow or Redstuff next time.

Garage have advised there isn’t much left in them before they’ll need replacing.

I’ll wait for the sensor to come on before swapping but good to know I guess and try know what to pull trigger on when it comes
