mk3... remote wire.... help!!

anyone know which wire is the remote wire on the back of the standard head unit.. so i dont have to have a gay switch.. ive tried the blue and the blue and white but no joy..

any help is appreciated..

http://www.icecavern.com/howtos/ampinstall/main.php its the black wire but I think pin 3 is the wrong pin number. It's the 3rd one in and it's defianately black but NOT pin 3.

cheers. i tried two black wires yesterday but one did nothing and one was constant power... so i will try this one. cheers
