Mk4 1.2-1.8 20vt engine conversion

Ok first of all I have had a quick search and although it has been mentioned a few times I haven't found my answers.

I have acquired a Ibiza mk4 1.2 with a slipped chain. I am considering dropping a 1.8 20v t engine into it and turning it into a track car.

There are many different engine codes, the one I am considering is a AYP from a mk3 Ibiza.
Is this a straight forward fit if I was to source the mk4 mounts?

Has anyone done this swap in the past?

This question usually gets some very nasty replies, but I see that what you are trying to do is to create a special for track use!

So, it seems that this forum does not have "projects" sections - which is strange, that means that you might be better having a look on the Skoda forum www.briskoda.net as I seem to remember that it has "project" sections and the one you want is the Fabia one, I can't believe that what you are doing has not been done there yet, but you could prove me wrong!

Edit:- Yup, I've just checked, under Fabia Projects - near the bottom of the home page, Fabia 1.2 12v > 1.8T
