Sorry if this has already been posted/answered, had a search but couldn't seem to find anything on it, simple question with hopefully a simple answer,

Is there an engine temp gauge anywhere on the mk4s? Clearly no physical one to be seen but cant find anything in the infotainment either, would be handy to know when the engines up to temp before giving it some..

Cheers
Brad

On the digital dashboard, press the button(red arrow) to select the left side of the dashboard
Use the scroller(green arrow) to scroll through the screens until you get to a screen with coolant and oil temperature.

Unless they have been hidden, using the hidden menu to set the secret scroll options in the display. Honestly this car software is so poor, like was coded by a five year old child.

Seat! You shouldn't need to read through 600 pages of the manual to find the button combination to unhide a menu, it should be intuitive and obvious - say in the settings menu of the infotainment system?

Same with resetting the trip recorder in my VW. In my previous car, there used to be a nice, simple button at the bottom of the instrument cluster; press and it was reset - it literally took a couple of seconds. Now I have to scroll though a load of menus, select the hidden ‘Trip’ menu, press the ‘OK’ button on the steering wheel to zero the trip, and then scroll back through the menu list to restore the information I always have displayed between the speedo and rev counter.

I’m not averse to technology, but why VAG do we need to go through this long winded, painful process when the previous simple system worked so well.

If it aint broke, don’t fix it! 😠.
