Mobile phone holder for A/C vents?!

Hi,

I'm wanting to fit a phone holder to my A/C vents, but I'm having trouble finding one that will fit because of the indented design.

Can anyone recommend one - it's for my iPhone 4, but it would be better if it's universal - and supply photos and / or websites that sell them?

Not sure about ones that fit into the A/C vents but you can get a brodit one that fits between the two ac vents in the center console. To get an idea of where it fits, have a look here:

I've had mine nearly 2 years now and apart from being a pain in the a fit. It's been brilliant since then.

Any reason why it has to be on your air vents?

It's been fantastic. I've got mine in the bottom right corner of my windscreen, out of my direct line of sight and I run my iPhone cable from the stereo between the steering column and clocks to the iPhone.

Just make sure whatever you get is pretty sturdy. I got a new holder (the kind you stick on your window) and I've had to bin it! Cause the suspension in the car is a wee bit harder than your standard suspension, it rattled about so much that it loosened and the phone fell out...every time...within half a mile!

If you are still after one for vents I have one which I will take pic of in a bit and upload! Was about £5 on eBay ill try find the link aswell when I get to my pc! (It's pretty solid and doesent bounce around but it can only go portrait)

ill see if i can find an ebay linky but as it was quite a while ago is been knocked off my previous purchase list! what phone were u after it for?

Edit: iphone 5 mount link could probs find cheaper from china but it depends if you wanna wait half your life for it to arrive they are all the same tbf, they all pretty much work the same why so dont see why it wouldnt work! (from pics looks identical to mine)

also I said it can only go portrait in another post but you can change it to go landscape if you unscrew 1 screen twist and screw back in, bit of pita if want to keep swapping, (I changed it back cos when u open the music app on iphone in landscape is displays coverflow which is rubbish!)
